Then Patch Divisional Awards scheduled for Sunday unveiling

HARRISBURG PA — The winners of the Dan Patch Awards for the best in their twelve harness racing divisions (2YO, 3YO and older; trot and pace; male and female) will be broadcast this Sunday at approximately noon on Harrah’s Philadelphia simulcast signal before the 12:40 card for that track begins that day. Winners are determined by voting of the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA), in conjunction with members of American Harness Racing Secretaries (AHRS).

This program is co-organized by Heather Vitale and Jenna Otten.

Press releases featuring the winners and more details about their achievements during the 2025 racing season will be distributed to the sport’s major media outlets for publication immediately following the conclusion of the videotape announcements.

The video will also be made available on the US Trotting Association YouTube channel (youtube.com/ustrotting) from 1 p.m. that day.

These horses will be honored at USHWA’s annual Dan Patch Awards Banquet, to be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. The identities of the Pacer of the Year, Trotter of the Year and Harness Horse of the Year will be announced for the first time during the banquet; Sunday’s broadcast will identify the best in each division.
