Global horse transporter IRT is sponsoring the meeting with their “IRT Supports Horse Welfare Race Night”.

The aim of the evening is to spread the word about the trust and also raise money for its running. They will be collection buckets at the Spectators bar on track and will also hopefully raise money through a series of bets on chosen racing media personalities. They receive betting vouchers worth $300 that they can spend on their own sponsored races.

Noted racing journalist Michael Guerin has named his race the Janice Guerin Memorial, after his late mother, and has matched the $300 with $300 of his own money. All proceeds will go to the Horse Ambulance Trust.

The varieties are:

IRT Thanks Craig Thompson, aka “The Whale”
IRT Thanks Matt Cross
IRT Thanks Jason Patterson
IRT Thanks Nicole Sims and Marc Cookson
