“All permits, fee structure and development works must be completed as per the proposed new Core Urban Act,” he said.
During a high-level review of the municipal administration and urban development at the Secretariat on Friday evening, the Chief Minister said sanitation and cleanliness should be given priority in the Urban Core Area (CURE).
CURE is one of the three geography-focused themes in the Telangana Rising Vision 20247 document. While CURE would focus on the Capital Region, PURE and RARE would handle development programs in the peri-urban and rural areas.
The CM directed authorities to identify suitable locations and make arrangements for dumping waste after people in CURE areas threw waste in open places and caused inconvenience to locals.
During the review, CM Revanth Reddy stated that special attention should be paid to road construction in the urban core area.
To ensure proper maintenance of roads, the Chief Minister directed the officials of the Roads and Construction Department to transfer all roads under their control in the CURE area to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department to avoid confusion in their maintenance.
Reviewing the progress of work on the new government buildings within the limits of Bharat Future City, the Chief Minister directed officials to complete the work before the deadline.
