Ellen White asked England’S’ frustrating ‘tactics while the Leeuwessen conquered an enormous fear of beating Sweden and continuing to the semi -final of the Euro 2025.

Replacements of Wiegman, in particular the introduction of Agyemang and Chloe Kelly, eventually helped to turn the game in favor of England, with both White and Fara Williams full of praise for the Brighton Striker in particular.
“You have to credit Michelle Agyemang for emerging and being such a nuisance, so physically and themselves to the Sweden defenders and put them under a lot of pressure and tension and create chaos, which led to her second goal,” White said.
Williams added to the impact of Agyemang: ‘Russo was very isolated in that game and I almost felt sorry for her in times during that match with the amount of tireless runs she made in the channels that players tried to bring into the game.

After full-time, Wiegman did not apologize for the bad first half of her side, but was left with no words for what turned out to be a dramatic comeback victory.
“It was difficult. One of the most difficult games I have ever viewed. Very emotional, “she told BBC Sport.
‘We could have been four or five times during the game. If you are 2-0 during the break, it’s not good.
‘We really started badly and then we got better at the end of the first half and in the second half we got better, but we created nothing, so we had to change shape. Then we scored two goals, so that was crazy.
‘Then we go in extra time, some players injured, some players cramps, Hannah Hampton with blood everywhere.
