Sutton Group acquires technology company

Sutton Group has agreed to acquire Homicity Inc., an Ottawa-based real estate technology company.
As part of the deal, Jamie Blades, founder and CEO of Homicity, will join Sutton as vice president of technology.
Sutton says the acquisition supports its mission to deliver a homeowner-focused, integrated real estate platform built in Canada for Canadians.
“Sutton is the leading Canadian-owned real estate brand and we are investing heavily in Canadian innovation, including AI and data intelligence. Jamie brings the expertise and product vision needed to accelerate our technology roadmap and help shape a platform that supports agents and homeowners in a changing landscape,” said Ross McCredie, CEO of Sutton.
Sutton will launch a comprehensive suite of technology solutions in early 2026 to equip its agents and homeowners with advanced tools and insights.
The Path Real Estate team returns to Hallmark
The Path Real Estate Team, led by Dylan Provencher, has returned to Re/Max Hallmark in Toronto from Keller Williams. Team members Eric Poon and Michael Cook have also rejoined Re/Max Hallmark.
“We are excited to welcome Dylan and his team back,” said Steve Tabrizi, COO of Re/Max Hallmark.
Poon brings creativity and discipline shaped by his former culinary career, along with strong knowledge of the local market and a customer-centric approach, while Cook draws on his marketing and design background, combined with deep insight into the community, a company statement said.

Re/Max Twin City is expanding in Cambridge, Ont.
Re/Max Twin City Realty Inc. welcomes back a familiar face and appoints Heidi Horwat as managing broker of its Cambridge office.
Her return reflects the brokerage’s continued focus on strong, accessible support for agents across the region, the brokerage said.
“Heidi understands this community and the way our agents work,” said Sandra Kirkland, vice president of Re/Max Twin City. “Her approach is thoughtful and practical, and she will play an important role in strengthening day-to-day support for our agents as we continue to grow across all six of our offices.”
Horway previously spent several years with the Cambridge team and was a director at the Waterloo Region Association of Realtors, where he contributed to two regional board mergers.
With experience in real estate, marketing and data analytics, she brings a grounded, people-oriented perspective to her new role, according to a company statement.
Century 21 is expanding in Laval

Century 21 Canada continues its expansion in Quebec with the opening of Century 21 Avenue in Laval, led by Josie Gammiero.
Gammiero has been active in the Canadian real estate sector since 2005 and quickly developed a specialization in commercial real estate. In 2008, she took over the commercial portfolio of a large Quebec company and, when more and more agents were needed, she started her own office.

REAL Broker launches in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan real estate agent Scott Ziegler has led the launch of REAL Broker in his province.
REAL profiles itself as the ‘real estate brokerage of the future’, offering a transformative real estate experience with the latest technology, a full range of services and expert guidance from brokers on one platform.
In a video, Ziegler said he has worked for three years to bring REAL to the Prairie Province.

New senior vice president for Century 21 Canada

Sébastien Bonnerot, senior vice president of national development at Century 21 Canada
Century 21 Canada has appointed Sébastien Bonnerot as senior vice president of national development, strengthening the brand’s plans to expand into the commercial real estate sector and creating new revenue opportunities for its brokers.
Bonnerot spent fifteen years within the Century 21 system. He started as an agent in 2010 before moving into management, serving as team leader for one of the network’s top teams from 2012 to 2022.
He founded Century 21 Élite in 2015, now considered one of the top brokers in the Century 21 Canada network.
“My practical experience as an agent, team leader and broker/owner has prepared me exceptionally well for this new national mandate,” said Bonnerot.
In recent years, he has helped reintroduce and expand the brand’s presence in Quebec, adapting to new technology, language laws and compliance requirements.
His immediate focus will be on leading the relaunch and growth of Century 21 Canada’s commercial real estate offering. In addition, he will help C21 brokers increase their additional income.
