The Premier League loves a little drama, not only on the field, but also, especially on transfer deadline day.
When clubs race against the clock to get a deal, there are contrasting feelings of both excitement and fear; Your team may be signing a new player at the last minute, but they may also have left it too late and miss them completely.
The deadline is increasingly only a suggestion, as long as you have provided a deal sheet in the last two hours of the transfer window. This enables a club to confirm that an agreement has been reached and gives itself more time (an extra two hours) to submit the remaining documentation.
The Premier League showed that a record number of deal magazines was submitted this year when clubs left it to do business. Some of these deals fell on, but some of them went on and were announced the next day.
Here are some of the remarkable late transfers (and one that still has to be confirmed).

In one of the more surprising movements of the transfer window, Matt O’Riley made himself on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

“Matt has the opportunity to challenge himself at the highest level in France and in the Champions League,” said Brighton head coach Fabian HĂ¼rzeler.
“We have a lot of competition in the positions of midfield, and although we see Matt’s long -term future with us, this gives him the potential of more playing time.
“We will follow his progress during the season with Marseille, and we wish him the best for the rest of the season.”
