Arsenal reached a momentous milestone on Sunday after beating Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Eberechi Eze’s goal against his former team gave the Gunners a 1-0 victory, their 700th in Premier League history. The north London side have become only the second team to achieve this feat after a strong start to the season.
Mikel Arteta’s side are at the top of the table after nine games, four points ahead of nearest challengers Bournemouth. Arsenal have also conceded just three goals in the Premier League, adding to optimism that a first league title since 2003/04 arrives in the Emirates this season.
In terms of all-time Premier League wins, Arsenal are second in the standings. Manchester United top the list, with the record 13-time champions having won 760 league games in the Premier League era. That includes an entertaining 4-2 win over Brighton this weekend.
Liverpool (682) is third, slightly ahead of Chelsea (671). Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City complete the top six.
Spurs’ win over Everton, combined with Manchester City’s loss at Aston Villa on Sunday, moved the north London side level on 555 wins against the Citizens.
