The Nike LeBron 23 “Heat Wave” recalls the Miami Superteam

Say what you will about the Seattle-LeBron Miami era was a standout in NBA history. In the summer of 2010, LeBron James was the most coveted free agent in professional basketball history. With all 30 NBA teams acting as hopeful suitors, James shocked the world when he announced his intention to take his talent to South Beach by teaming up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, fellow free agents who went all south afterward. Thus, they formed the first-ever “Superteam,” a group of top-level free-agent superstars just reaching their peak.

This also started the villain of the eventual all-time leader, who played the role of good-guy during his entire (first) period in Cleveland. The bad reputation eventually got to him, and despite winning two NBA championships in a span of four seasons, LeBron’s conscience urged him to return to his home state. There he took the Cavs to the Finals for three consecutive seasons, taking home the chip in 2016 in what is considered the greatest comeback in league history.

Getting back to the shoes, this upcoming LeBron 23 “Heat Wave” recalls that trio of hoop gods with an iridescent lower half, a cheetah pattern on the upper, Miami pink piping and a “Heatles” logo on the heel. The same emblem is also included in the form of a metal charm.

Find the LeBron 23 “Heat Wave” at Nike Basketball stores on December 12, 2025 for $210.
