The New Zealand intruder records a six-length victory

Turn little girl N (Vincentius) made her local harness debut a winning one in Tuesday’s feature at the Saratoga Casino Hotel. Edwin Quevedo trains the six-year-old mare piloted by Justin Huckabone for her first attempt in the $18,500 Open for Fillies and Mares.

The race’s favorite Twin B Echo (Jimmy Devaux) set the fractions in the feature and traveled unopposed through a first half that went in 58.3 before soon being faced with the challenge of Twist Little Girl N, whose first power surge saw her take a commanding lead of more than three quarters in 1:26. The 7-1 shot never looked back after taking away the lead and pulled away to score by an impressive six and a half lengths in a mile, clocked in 1:54.4.

TURN GIRL N REPEAT

Twin B Echo was well beaten but held on to take second, while Waitforever N (Aaron Byron) earned the show spot.

Twist Little Girl N’s win was her sixth of the year and Tuesday’s score put the New Zealand invader over the $100,000 mark in 2025. Quevedo and Huckabone doubled the card when they combined for a win with the paced mare Senorita Draco romping in upset fashion in a $7,500 race to claim disstafers.

Live racing continues Wednesday at Saratoga with a matinee starting at noon
