Porsche has been teasing the fully electric Cayenne for more than two years. After the Macan Electric and Taycan, this move represents the biggest leap in the Cayenne lineup since the original model mainstreamed the performance SUV segment more than two decades ago. Development prototypes have traveled thousands of kilometers across ice, desert and mountain test areas, and the vehicle has made early public appearances at Goodwood and in controlled media outlets. Now the wait is over.
The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric will be launched as part of a new diversified range that will continue to offer gas and hybrid models well into the next decade. Porsche confirms a flexible powertrain strategy across the Cayenne range, giving you real choice depending on the use case. At launch, the all-electric Cayenne family will start with two models: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric.
Performance is the heart of the story. The Turbo Electric produces 1,140 hp and maximum 1,107 Nm of torque with the help of Launch Control and Push to Pass. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. In standard driving mode it produces 857 hp, with a further 176 hp available in ten-second bursts. It is the most powerful production Porsche ever built.
The energy regeneration technology comes directly from Porsche’s Formula E program. Recuperation power reaches up to 600 kW, and roughly 97 percent of routine braking relies on electrical regeneration rather than mechanical friction. This increases efficiency, consistency and response on demanding road or track environments.
The 113 kWh battery supports fast charging up to 400 kW DC. Under optimal conditions, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes less than sixteen minutes, and a ten-minute charge can provide a range of approximately 200 miles. The estimated WLTP range on the European cycle is up to 600 kilometers for the Cayenne Electric and 600 kilometers for the Turbo. The Caynne Electric also supports wireless charging.
In terms of design, it is unmistakably a Cayenne. Key elements include a low bonnet profile, sleek Matrix LED headlights, pronounced fenders, the signature Porsche flyline roof arch, frameless doors and a full-width 3D rear light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering. Active aerodynamic components contribute to a drag coefficient of 0.25, making the Cayenne Electric one of the most aerodynamically efficient SUVs.
Inside, Porsche Driver Experience introduces the brand’s largest display environment: a curved OLED Flow Display in the center, a 14.25-inch instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger screen with native streaming and gaming. A head-up display with AR graphics is available.
As for usability, cargo space measures 27.5 to 56 cubic feet plus a frunk of 3.1 cubic feet. Towing capacity reaches 7,700 pounds. An off-road package increases the approach angle and ride height.
