Features mean weight. Functions also mean added costs. That makes it very difficult for entry and middleweight bicycles to offer many functions. The entry -level models try to deliver the best value and performance for a price, and that fight is usually won on the specification sheet and the price instead of exciting functions. Things are a bit different in the middleweight segment – functions can be added, but that drives up the costs. Drive the costs too much and you start to butt with the full-size motorcycles, and they have the performance and profit margins to add functions with impunity.

This cord is walked by almost every manufacturer, and some do better than others. There is one manufacturer that stands out when it comes to functions, and this feature is consistent about his reach. It is therefore no surprise that the middleweight adventure bike comes on top when you are considering the function list. Here is the middleweight adventure bike with the most functions.

To give you the most up -to -date and accurate information, the data used to collect this article comes from authoritative sources such as CFMoto USA.

CFMoto has been around for a while and it is growing exponentially. Not only in numbers, but the type of products it has done in the sale is very impressive. KTM thought it was suitable to work with it to produce some of its products, so CFMoto then got an Insider’s look at how quality control should work.

All the while, CFMoto had built its brand on the ‘Value’ card, with the most functions or the best specifications for the money. Now there is also a new dimension of quality and reliability – but it has not released its roots. That is why the CFMoto IBEX 800 E The middleweight is adventure bikes with most functions.

Why we chose the CFMoto IBEX 800 E

  • Longest list of functions. Evidently.

  • Price would be great even without the great job list

  • Mechanicals have taken one or two lessons from KTM 790 Adventure

The IBEX 800 has a well-known 270-degree parallel twins that feeds it. This engine is very closely related to the person who drives the KTM 790 adventure, and the power and torque figures are respectable for the segment. A gearbox with six gears, assist and slipper coupling and two-way Quickshifter are present but let’s be honest, we expect these things from every premium middleweight bike nowadays.

What we don’t expect are six driving modes. They are all standard and link the reaction of the by-wire throttle to the traction control and ABS intervention. The six-axis IMU means that the traction control is switched on in turns and that Wheelie control is also on the list of functions.

A steel Trellis frame makes things up for the Ibex, with an aluminum subframe and rear bridge to reduce the weight. Spoke rims with tubeless tires are standard, and the IBEX 800 uses a 19-inch frontrand, in contrast to its smaller brother or sister, who uses a 21-inch front. This makes it more a tourer than an off-road-oriented adventure bike, but the lessons of his Austrian partner have to make it quite capable of the raw stuff. KYB fully adjustable suspension with inverted front fork and j.juan brakes with 320 mm input motors complete the chassis specifications. The six-axis IMU offers bends and compatible ABS and a steering damper is standard for the IBEX but unique for the segment.

The IBEX 800 has three variants worldwide and CFMoto has decided to get the top specter ‘e’ variant to the American market for 2025. That is why it gets everything you had hoped for, and a few things you didn’t expect, as functions, and they are all standard. The radar-based blind spot monitoring system is one that is not available for one of the competitors, even as an option. Another function that is unique for the IBEX 800 is the steering damper.

It also gets a large 8-inch TFT-Touchscreen display with Apple Carplay, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The windshield is manually adjustable and under the other standard functions are tire pressure monitoring and cruise control. Keep in mind that for the price all these functions are standard, in contrast to some products in the segment that have a competitive basic price, but you need to buy a ‘package’ that is worth a lot of money to install something as little as an optional Quickshifter.

  • Steering damper

  • 8-inch TFT Color Touchscreen Display

  • Apple CarPlay

The IBEX 800 E slots in a niche. There is no other product with the combination of functions and mechanical components. However, there are some that come close. The value/budget competitors include the Suzuki V-Strom 800th and Honda XL750 Transalp. They also offer a decent function set, but they sell because of a combination of reliability and ease of ownership.

On the other side of the spectrum, if you want more performance and functions, you have to look at the KTM 890 adventure ($ 15,799) and Husqvarna Norden 901 ($ 14,899). These are much more capable, but they also ask you to pay for that option. There is also the segment leader BMW F 900 GS whose basic price is $ 14,275. But if you specify it on something like what is expected of the segment, then expect the price to go to the north of $ 17,000. That makes us these models from this comparison.
