The FFS Open Cup and the FFS Members Cup reach the semi-finals in Gameweek 19 – and we bring you the latest results and draws here.
Both competitions will offer a £300 prize pool, with a full breakdown at the bottom of this piece.
FFS OPEN HEAD
Our highest ranked manager, ekikekiwapang (11,990th), played our lowest ranked manager, Ben Phippen (1,350,461st). It was form, with the former winning 65-53 – despite scoring 12 fewer replacement points than his opponent during their Bench Boost!
Bilbo Baggins (123,701e) and HOCHOKI (407,522nd) had similar victory margins, winning 62-46 and 64-46 against Washing foot (253,039e) and RobinHuth (104,001st).
villain (471,167e) declined Old Navy FC (210.036e) 46-39. If they had played any of the other six quarter-finalists, they would have been eliminated by now…
ekiekiwapang will play BilboBaggins in the semi-final, while HOCHOKI and villain will face each other in the other.
FFS MEMBERS CUP
Our highest ranking participant, wilkas44 (36,159th), had a below-par Gameweek, hitting -4 and scoring just 34. They were comfortably defeated by Drizzle (193.099e), 30-51.
The other three quarter-finals were more closely matched, with no one winning by more than five points.
Santigold (86,829th) squeaked by Asim Ahmed Khan (138,085e) 56-54, despite injuries leaving them with only two defenders.
Kosh14 (498,722e) declined paulwilsonpickett (58.835e) 43-38, despite being on the receiving end of a red arrow on a free hit.
Teddy (87,766th) lost 45-50 to Study up (53,013th), who is now our highest-placed competitor. They will play the lowest ranked survivor, Kosh14, in the semi-finals.
Santigold and Drizzle meet in the other final four.
HOW DO THE CUP MATCHES WORK?
The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup competition.
Entrants qualifying for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie will be whoever has the highest score of that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (as in the original game and in head-to-head scores).
In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.
