The key to faster improvement? A feedback -loop – This tool can help

One of the biggest breakthroughs for many golfers is to realize that real improvement starts before they ever take the club back. In almost every lesson I give, I notice that I am the importance of a good adequate explanation and tweaks to the setup. After all, a solid foundation puts all the other in motion.

In fact, I often find that once they are in the right position, the ball flight almost immediately improves – without ever changing their swing.

But here is the real challenge: maintaining that setup as soon as the lesson has ended. That is why I encourage all my students to build a feedback job in any exercise session.

What is a Feedbackklus?

A feedback job is a simple, consistent way to check your work, catch small mistakes and to strengthen the right habits. It helps you to follow your setup and wave in real time so that you can solve problems before they become bad habits. In the course of time this leads to better performance and more lasting improvement.

Why feedback klussen matter

When I work with tour players, most of our technical focus is on what we can check – starting with the setup. We use a clear, repeatable checklist to ensure that everything is taught before the club even moves.

However, that kind of structured feedback is not always available for everyday golfers. You don’t always have a coach who keeps an eye on the reach or the day for a big round.

That is why making your own feedback loop system so important, and recently I found a tool that can help.

It is called the Why Golf Alignment Mirror and I have to admit that when I first thought it was my interest was aroused. I wondered, could such training aids actually give players the kind of real -time feedback that they need, without a coach being next to them?

So I decided to try it out with one of my students – a development travel player who is about seven hours away from me in Hilton Head.

Because he lives so far away, we usually trust external sessions to stay connected between personal visits. And one of his recurring problems was “crossed” in his setup – hips and knees too closed, shoulders too open. Without anyone there to recognize it, the problem would quietly crawl back.

As soon as we placed the mirror on the ground, the impact was immediately. He could see – and more importantly, feeling – exactly where his body was in space. No verbal signals required. It gave him the opportunity to correct in real time and to convert his attitude into a Feedbackklus that he could trust.

The result? Better ball flight and a setup that he could repeat with confidence.

What makes this mirror so effective?

The convex form of the mirror offers a wide angle, full-field view of your setup. So you are not limited to checking only one part of your posture. With this training aid you can see everything. Moreover, the raster lines on the mirror have to make it easy to evaluate the posture width, ball position and body lines at the same time.

And because it gives you immediate visual feedback, your eyes start to recognize how ‘good’ looks and your body starts to remember what it feels. That is where real habit building starts.

After our first session my student went home and ordered the mirror itself. In every online session we have had since then, it is a staple in his setup routine. And his coordination? Consistent, clean and repeatable.

If you own your swing, build a reliable practice routine and bring permanent improvements – this is the type of Feedbackklus that the needle can actually move.
