St. John’s, Antigua – At the request of Cricket West -India President Dr. Kishore Sallow, an emergency meeting of the Cricket Strategy & Officiating Committee from 10 to 11 August 2025 will convene with the Hyatt Regency Trinidad to tackle critical challenges with which Cricket West -Indies cricket and immediate structural reforms.
The two-day top will bring together the cricket strategy and official committee, with members such as former West Indies players Dr. Desmond Haynes, Shivnarine Chaanderpaul and Ian Bradshaw, as well as special invitations Sir Clive Lloyd and Sir Vivian Richards. Cricket West -India director of Cricket Miles Bascombe welcomed the threatening important discussions and the value of taking into account the president’s call to come together.

Head coach Daren Sammy will lead a feedback session from the coaching staff to tackle the Cricket brand and any immediate problems, while players can speak frankly about their experiences.
This meeting is CWI’s response to current performance to ensure rapid action in critical areas that are identified during the two -day strategic assessment. The implementation of the results of the meeting is expected to start immediately, and the progress updates will be provided if restructuring is used at all levels of West India Cricket.
Cricket West India CEO Chris Dehring also emphasized the importance of the think tank.
“This strategic emergency is not only a reaction, but a necessary intervention. The performance of our senior men’s team has expressed legitimate concerns among our fans, stakeholders and partners and we could not afford it to continue the things as usual,” he said. “We expect deep, transparent conversations with the people closest to the action, such as our players, coaches and selectors and what we hope to arise is a serious, organization -wide dedication to change.
