Cricket West -India welcomes Karikom’s proposal for a special committee

The President, Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and the Secretariat of Cricket West India (CWI) welcomes the proposal of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) and the Premiersubcommissie (PMSC) on Cricket.
We appreciate the constant interest and involvement of regional heads of government in the future of West India cricket deep and confirm our dedication to open and constructive involvement.
CWI regards the proposed committee, consisting of a broad cross-section of regional stakeholders, as a valuable opportunity to not only take on the challenges that we are confronted with, but also to explore practical paths to strengthen and support the West India Cricket.
We will encourage our six shareholders, the territorial cricket boards, to actively participate and share their insights into this important process.
We repeat our strong desire for cooperation with Caricom and all stakeholders, as reflected in our consistent participation in meetings of the Premier-Subcommissie on Cricket since 2023 and in various courtesy relationships with regional leaders.
CWI remains convinced that due to collective efforts and a shared vision of West -India cricket we can reduce cricket to the highest standards of excellence, both on and outside the field.
