Albuquerque – Hello Ice Wolves fans and welcome to the latest edition of the Ice Wolves den. This week we contain Brady Borgestad.
Brady originally came to the Ice Wolves for the 2023-24 season, last season he played closer to home for the Mallards Minnesota, but returned to Albuquerque this season. He explained that it was a relatively easy decision: “The organization here is incredible, the staff, the coaches, my billet family, they are all great. It was absolutely nice to be closer to home last season, we had a great group of boys and was good for my development. I give the Minnesota, but I am absolutely a good time.” Borgestad continued: “Coach McKenzie made it a no-brainer, I know Kyle since my Rookie year and he was a great reason to get me back here. He is a great guy and a great coach. I am grateful and excited to be back.”
Brady says that the fan support in Albuquerque is top: “The fans here are incredible, they appear every night and cheer loud and pride, you can’t defeat that. They are absolutely great, I can’t thank them enough. They let us play and play hard.”
The Nahl Ice Wolves split a few against the Oklahoma Warriors last weekend and won 6-3 on Friday, but fell 6-5 in a shootout on Saturday. Vooruit Andy Earl continued his hot start, took 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 total points and earning South Division Second star of the week.
