The hockey showCanada’s only campus-produced radio show purely about hockey was all set for an evening of laughs and hockey action while live at a local rink, but Mother Nature had other ideas when a snowstorm hit Winnipeg last night. Since then, I feel like I’m chasing my tail to make sure the plans are still being executed, to come up with contingency plans, and to figure out if traveling anywhere is worth it. The good news is that we found out all about it today at 3pm CT – yep, we’re done with it! – but we’ll talk about hockey tonight The hockey show at 5:30pm CT!
We’ll start by canceling the live broadcast because traveling into or entering the city was treacherous to say the least. As Teebz and Jason settle into their humble abode, they discuss the location of the 2028 World Junior Championship mentioned this week, the ridiculous saga that the EIHL’s Fife Flyers have found themselves in, a similar situation with the EIHL’s Sheffield Steelers, there has been an interesting study on youth hockey helmets, and there has been a boom in business in the NHL.
