The Philadelphia 76ers are pissed off.
Philadelphia was subjected to criticism and compassion when every critical injury is deeper into an inescapable hole. Joel Embiid and Paul George stood in an unwanted spotlight while they each treated with setbacks. This was much to the deprivation of fans who saw the Philadelphia Eagles hoist a super bowl trophy within the same time frame.
The 76ers had the most disappointing season in franchise history and are determined to throw their traumatic weight and implement a culture that is standing, regardless of who is on the floor. Philadelphia is well positioned to bounce back in an Eastern conference that lacks a dominant power. To do this, however, the 76 people have to concentrate on their own.
Culture
One of the many issues of Philadelphia last season was the lack of chemistry. With Embiid and George the line -up shuffled in and out, the 76 people were unable to develop chemistry on the field or to form an identity. This lack of cohesion made Philadelphia the victim of inconsistency. Injuries were the most important root of the struggle of the 76 people, but perhaps if they had an identity, they could have remained more competitive.
“We need a standard, like this is who we are every day, regardless of who plays, regardless of who does not play,” said Maxey. “If you see the Philadelphia 76ers, this is what you will see. You will see that team every evening.”
Immantements are not everything, but if Philadelphia can implement a stronger culture, it can be crucial to stay upright. Embiid and George’s return dates still have to be determinedWhich means that the 76ers can be short -handed to start the season again. Yet Philadelphia may be better equipped, because Tyrese Maxey is paramount in his energy shift, which seems to be contagious.
Andre Drummond said on Media Day on Friday that the 76ers carried out their pre-camp scrimmages without errors. He believes that those experiences have contributed to building the intensity and toughness of Philadelphia, while Kelly Oubre Jr. Those practices described as ‘footcall-like’.
The youth of the 76ers need guidance
Another layer of the cultural reset of the 76 people is their young core. Philadelphia gave priority to expanding the collection of younger, athletic players, led by Jared McCain, Breath Bona and Justin Edwards, with the concept additives of VJ EdgeCombe and Johni Brome. Although the talent is there, the 76 people have to trust their veterans to give the example and settle as leaders.
“I won’t, I don’t think, part of the camp that goes in,” said George. “But I do have a voice and part of the team to help the young boys and to touch that point early in the season.”
Embiid has also shown interest in guiding the influx of young talent from Philadelphia. He wants to inform the youth of the 76 people about his earlier mistakes in the hope that he can prevent them from encountering a similar fate. Embiid pointed out how he has contributed to Maxey’s evolution over the years.
Above all, the 76 people want to desperately redeem their status in Philadelphia.
“I walk through Center City every day and see the excitement of the Eagles and Phillies,” said Daryl Morey. “This outdoor season was about reducing ourselves in those conversations.”
