Reported earlier this year P3 News That research shows that it is becoming increasingly common to name your child after names that were previously seen as popular dog names. After researching, they found more than 350 names that are almost as common for animals as they are for humans.
One reason for this may be that we now view our pets as family members to a greater extent than before, reports say Omni.
– Then it might make sense that they would also be given similar names, says Katharina Leibring, associate professor of Scandinavian languages at Uppsala University and who has researched connections between animal and human names.
