Michelin creates a unique tire for Hispano Suiza’s unique hypercar.
The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera is not only one of the most fascinating electric hypercars on the market today, but also the culmination of more than a century of history for the legendary Hispano Suiza brand and a celebration of its 120th anniversary. With 1,114 hp and a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds, the Carmen Sagrera belongs to an ultra-exclusive class of hypercars that require technical solutions unlike most other vehicles on the road, and that especially applies to the tires.
The Carmen Sagrera combines the rich and long history of Hispano Suiza with the latest futuristic design hypercar innovation and performance, and as such Michelin, Hispano Suiza’s exclusive tire supplier for the Carmen Sagrera, the most advanced hypercar to date, has both the technology and design of such a powerful machine, nodding to Hispano Suiza’s past.
The tire is an exclusive version of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which features special sidewalls with details inspired by the historic stork emblem of Hispano Suiza, but also by the work of the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. The sidewalls also feature Michelin’s Velvet Touch, giving them a unique velvety feel.
In fact, Hispano Suiza’s relationship with Michelin goes back almost a century, when Michelin began making tires for the manufacturer’s high-end models in the 1920s and 1930s.
