Experts have raised an alarm about a rare deadly Covid effect after a young girl was killed after the virus had spread to her brain.

Doctors revealed that the eight -year fever developed and suffered several attacks, just a few days after they had unknowingly sustained the infection.

Yet she was initially not tested on Covid, because her symptoms had no ‘identifiable trigger’, according to Chinese doctors who shared her story in a medical magazine.

It was only after her attacks deteriorated and her ‘foaming at the mouth’ left and stiffened her ‘limbs and shakes’ that she was transferred to another hospital and was intubated to help her breathe.

Tests then showed that she had developed rare brain disorder, acute necrotising encephalopathy (Ane), which was ‘probably’ the result of a COVID infection.

But her condition deteriorated and nine days after they were looking for medical help for the first time, Medici declared her brain dead and her living support was eliminated.

Research has previously shown that Covid can reach the human brain, which can cause both respiratory complaints and neurological problems.

Medici at Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center, however, said that there were still large ‘gaps’ in the knowledge of doctors about the best way to treat children who suffer from ‘rapid neurological decline’.

Writing in the diary BMC Infectious DiseasesThey added: “Although Covid typically presents with respiratory symptoms, this can also lead to serious neurological manifestations in children.”

Figures suggest that at least three -quarters of all British adults were infected at least once with Covid since the pandemic started in 2020.

Acute necrotising encephalopathy (ane) occurs when the body’s immune system reacts exaggerated to a common virus such as Covid or flu.

It is incredibly rare, with only a few hundred documented cases in medical literature.

It causes widespread inflammation and tissue damage throughout the body, including the brain.

This allows toxins and bacteria to enter the brain and kill tissue. The brain and cells swell over time.

According to doctors, the first symptoms of the Non -Effected child include a temperature – only more than 38 ° C – as well as a headache, a bumpy rash on her arms, legs and trunk and vomiting.

She was taken to a local health clinic, where she received medication that had not relieved her symptoms.

The next day she experienced her first tonic-clonic attack with her ‘foaming at the mouth’.

Such attacks of attacks tend to submit electrical disruption in different parts of the brain, which then influence different parts of the body.

They ensure that muscles strengthen the arms and usually the legs start to pull quickly and rhythmically.

After she had been transferred to a hospital in Guangzhou, she suffered another minute -long attack that left her vomiting and was prescribed antibiotics to treat a suspected infection.

Medici stopped a third attack the next morning by giving her diazepam, but she then fell into a ‘comatose state’, and she was incubated to help her breathe.

Transferred to a second hospital, Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center, testing there revealed that her saliva was positive for Covid.

Rotavirus – another airway infection – was also detected in its stools and blood, although doctors stated that the Covid virus was a more chance of neurological complications.

“Despite aggressive therapy, the patient remained in a deep coma without sedation,” Medici added.

She didn’t seem to feel pain, could not breathe for herself and had minimal brain function.

Two additional medical evaluations during the following two days saw doctors establish that she had been left to brain dead by the attacks -induced attacks.

“Covid is the most likely dominant factor in this serious encephalopathy, although a co-infection scenario cannot be completely excluded,” the authors wrote.

“Without autopsy or direct pathogenic detection in the brain tissue, the definitive perpetrator remains uncertain.”

The case also proves that children and babies do not necessarily experience milder Covid infections, they added.

‘This case emphasizes the urgent need for early recognition of neurological complications in children with Covid.

“Doctors must maintain increased vigilance for atypical presentations, including rapid neurological decline after infection.”

In the UK, the ministers have repeatedly said that they do not resort to the imposition of lockdowns unless a Doomsday Covid variant appears.

A wall of immunity among the population-built by repeated waves of infection and vaccinrol has given officials the confidence to send measures from the Pandemic era to history.

Peaks in Covid -cases can still cause massive disorders throughout the country, causing chaos in schools, health care and public transport.

But civil servants also no longer follow the prevalence of the virus in the same way as in the past, as part of the government of the government of pre-known normality.
