The draw for the first round of our FFS Open Cup


Qualifying for our FFS Open Cup took place in Gameweek 11, with the first round coming in Gameweek 12.

We bring you the qualifying scores and upcoming matches in this article.

A total of £300 in prizes is on offer, with a full breakdown at the bottom of this piece.

If you missed the boat on this competition, our FFS Members Cup is still open for participation! There will also be prizes on offer in that cup, so make sure you get your entries in before Tuesday.

FFS OPEN HEAD

There were 512 participants who advanced to the first round. Anyone who reached the post-hit points goal of 31 qualified, while those who reached 30 points and had an overall rank of 3,953,591 or better pushed through.

Reigning Open Cup Champion sandy grounder is about to counter Diego South Gatejust like other former winners 2EyedTurk, MCH, TFO And TH14 join in too.

They are confronted The Mighty Evil, Mihai Roman, FrankInTheBox And Rossaldinhorespectively.

Looking at the current global placements, our highest ranked entrant is FPL Amateur (1,295th). One of three managers in the top 10k, and 11 in the top 50k, this team will meet the bam.

Meanwhile, another eleven fall outside the top of the global six million. The lowest of these is ProfessorM FC (7,705,253e).

A few well-known Scout names are in the first round. Sam Bonfield, The And Tom Vrijman have to overcome Crossologist, Diamond dogs And Skippyb.

HOW DO THE CUP MATCHES WORK?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup competition.

Entrants qualifying for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is the one who has the highest score of that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (as in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

The competition will be played according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule, although this may be subject to change.
