Congress MP Manish Tewari took a subtle excavation at his party after he was not included in the list of speakers for the discussion about Operation Sindoor in Parliament, together with Shashi Tharoor.
Both Tewari and Tharoor were part of the delegations of all parties of the government traveling to different countries in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor to use Pakistan Corner because of the support for terrorism.
With the congress that concludes the senior leaders in Arenensie, both eloquent speakers, for the crucial debate, it has only added to speculation of internal friction within the party.
In his position, the Anandpur Sahaib MP shared a screenshot of a news item from him and Tharoor that was split off for the debate, which started on Monday. Tewari also shared texts from the famous Patriotic song from the film Purab Aur Pachhim (1970).
“Hai preat jahaan ki reet Sada, main geet waaan ke ga gauta hoon, bharat ka rehne waala hoon, bharat ki baat sunata hoon. Jai Hind (I love the habits of that place, I sing songs of that place, I am a resident of India, I tell stories about India), “wrote the Congress Member of Parliament.
According to a report in the Indian Express, Tewari wanted to participate in the discussion and he even wrote a letter to the party leadership that expressed his wish to speak. The congress, however, decided to film him.
Congress Member of Parliament Amar Singh, who was part of the delegation, was also not chosen by the congress to speak in the debate.
In the case of Tharoor, the Congress had approached the Kerala MP to speak in the discussion. Tharoor, however, refused the invitation and stated that he could not do the party line in her criticism of Operation Sindoor.
