The countless questions about and possible solutions for the second largest METS problem

Mets Honcho David Stearns constantly emphasizes the need to improve ‘run prevention’, which is logical after a disastrous season 2025, when their fieldwork was below average and their pitching imploded.

From here, pitching was the bigger problem. But Mets Higher UPS seem especially to be dissatisfied with the defense. The Mets were stored 15th and 21st in defensive runs and outside the average, which is not great (but not much worse than Philly, who ranked 17th and 15th respectively).

Here are my opinion about what could be done about the defense (the pitching problem requires more space than I have here).

• Will Pete Alonso return? That would be a Steve Cohen vs. Stearns -discussion can become again, with Cohen in favor and stearns a little less in favor. Alonso had a much better general season, but a Mets officer predicted: “I think someone else will pick him up.” Alonso should do much better this year in the Free Office, without a qualifying body and the concept-pick compensation that is connected to it, but his defensive statistics are not great (min-9 outs above average, although it is great on creating, who do not take into account). But how do you replace the home Run Hitter from the club that is also right -handed if you are Lefty heavy? An extra thought: Alonso likes to play 1B and works on it, but would he consider Dhing?
