Former Minnesota Vikings wide recipient Stefon Diggs is back from an ACL Teach that he suffered last season.
Stefon Diggs came back from an ACL Teacher in eight months. Could that recovery time indicate the fate of Christian Darrisaw? The Vikings may already have their answer.
Diggs of course no longer plays for the Vikings, so that the franchise is abandoned after the 2019 campaign and is part of a famous trade that enabled Minnesota to understand Justin Jefferson from the NFL design of 2020.
But on a roundabout this week, the ACL recovery of Diggs told a story about the left -wing Christian Darrisaw of Minnesota.
Here is the latter.
Christian Darrisaw is perhaps in a good place if Stefon Diggs’ recovery is a reasonable indicator
Both men tore their ACLs in the regular season 2024.
Stefon Diggs is back from an ACL Teacher
NBC Sports‘Josh Alper Noted Tuesday”Wide recipient Stefon Diggs was not part of the first group of players who are unable to perform the patriots on the physically the list and he was not added to the list when the entire team reported to the training camp on Tuesday.”
“Diggs tore his ACL while playing for the Texans at the end of October, but his rehabilitation went well enough that he will be in the active schedule for the first exercises of the summer. Chief coach Mike Vrabel told reporters at a press conference that it is a will for how hard Diggs has worked and that he does not expect him to be on the field again again” “”
The new head coach of Diggs, Mike Vrabel, added: “I don’t see any limitations now. Is he going to take every representative of every period? No, and I don’t think a player will do that. But we are good start and encouraged by what we have seen here in recent days.”
And so Diggs is back in the saddle.
The timeline comparison with Christian Darrisaw
And here is the kicker: Diggs and Darrisaw went off the same weekend last year – week 8.
Darrisaw tore his ACL in a competition in the Los Angeles Rams, so Minnesota has left an exchange for Jacksonville Jaguars Tackle Cam Robinson. During the low season, many wondered if Darrisaw is ready for week 1.
If Diggs can, Darrisaw can do it. That is the working theory anyway.
Diggs tore his ACL as a member of the Houston Texanen and broke free desk four months later, chosen New England as his next workplace.
Darrisaw is already trend in the right way
The Diggs comparison arrived because Darrisaw is already trending in the right direction.
From nowhere in June Darrisaw appeared on the practice field at compulsory MiniMamp, who ran heads because many spectators expected a tension-filled summer with regard to his play status.
Subsequently, during a press conference of the camp for the training on Tuesday, the Vikings leaders, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O’Connell, that Darrisaw was in a good place for his recovery and the physically unable to avoid (puppy) list.
In short, it has been all smiling on the Darrisaw timeline lately.
Progress in ACL recovery?
Diggs and Darrisaw became the shelf in October 2024, so if both men are ready to go in September, ACL tears can now be an injury of 10 months. In the past, many wrote a full year with ACL-bitten players. It was the nature of the beast.
There is a considerable chance that shorter than A-year ACL recovery is now standard. In this way, evidence will show such as Diggs and Darrisaw Week 1.
More about Darrisaw
Our own Janik Eckardt Detailed ACL Recovery from Darrisaw this week, with reference to Vikings.com’s recent summary of Lindsey Young.
He wrote“Vikings writer Lindsey Young summarized On the official website of the team: “Left Tackle Christian Darrisaw and judge guard Will Fries, who have both repaired injuries, will open the training camp without injury indications, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah confirmed Tuesday.” “
“Christian Darrisaw has already settled as one of the most important blockers in football, but a torn ACL stopped his season 2024 just behind the halfway through the marking. His availability in the season opener remains in question, but his participation is at least partially a good sign.”
A healthy Darrisaw would be a total game changer for the purple team in week 1.
Eckardt added: “Darrisaw has signed a huge contract extension last season, and the Vikings will undoubtedly play safely with their franchise player instead of accelerating his timeline. He is too important in the long term.”
“There will be a lot of injury updates in the coming weeks. For now, the 26-year-old is in a decent place.”
The recovery of Darrisaw will be among the best storylines for the rest of the summer and is perhaps even the most important.
