The Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) of AU Small Finance Bank on Tuesday approved the appointment of NS Venkatesh and Satyajit Dwivedi as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) on the bank’s board of directors, with effect from November 25, 2025, for three years.
Further, the NRC also approved the reappointment of Malini Thadani as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Bank for a second term of three years with effect from November 25, 2025.
The aforementioned appointments, which take place in the run-up to the Bank’s transition to a Universal Bank, are subject to shareholder approval.
During his career spanning over four decades in the banking and financial services industry, Venkatesh held senior leadership roles such as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of IDBI Bank, Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and Executive Director at Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
Dwivedi, who started his career at Bank of India and subsequently held various senior management positions at NABARD, previously held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nabkisan Finance Ltd and was also Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for Financial Education (NCFE).
Thadani started her four-decade career with the Indian Revenue Service in 1980 (and held senior positions until 1995) and then with HSBC in India and Hong Kong. She was Head of Sustainability, Asia, at HSBC Ltd in Hong Kong and holds leadership positions in Communications, Sustainability, CSR and Public Affairs at HSBC India.
