A 14-year-old Newark boy who was accused earlier this month of the fatal shooting of detective Joseph Azcona, comes from a family that has long been entangled in violent crimes and drug acts, sources and relatives told The NY Post.
The teenager, whose identity is not known for his age, was raised in an environment that is sufficient with criminal activities. His mother, Rabiyah Sorey, 43, has been a well -known drug dealer in North Ninth Street for years, said a source.
She was a well -known member of the Bloods course when she was arrested in a drug attack in 2010 at her home. Since then she has confronted with several arrests for the actions of cocaine, crack and other narcotic drugs, according to sources of law enforcement.
“That is a very, really bad family,” the source revealed. “They are all arrested for arms costs.”
The Bloods is a street gang that started in Los Angeles in 1972. They are known to wear red and have a long -term feud with the crips, another large gang. The blood formed as a group of smaller gangs that are united to protect themselves against the growing influence of the crips.
Over time, they have expanded further with LA and now members in different parts of the US. The blood is involved in various crimes, including drug trafficking, theft and violence. They became more powerful in the 1980s when they were heavily involved in the sale of crack cocaine.
The twin sister of Rabiah Sorey, Hadiyah Sorey, also 43, was reportedly her partner in running their illegal things. “Her and her sister are running the drugs in the area,” the source added. “They are the boss of that area. That is what he grew up on.”
The teenager moved from Georgia to Newark six months ago, where he was involved in basketball and football in high school. Sources said he had been arrested several times for serious crimes, including theft.
Hadiyah Sorey, the aunt of the boy, was not apologetic about their influence, with her income from the sale of drugs. “I got the whole north behind me,” she told the NY Post. “I do what the F ** K I want to do.”
“I said she had to let him down there because he would be better off,” said Hadiyah Sorey, referring to her sister’s decision to bring the teenager to Newark. “That’s why I didn’t want him to come to Newark.” “You don’t want the F *** ING Cops here,” she said. “They are bad for business,” she added.
