A few disclaimers before we get started.

Firstly, this list is limited to division-i basketball rivalry for men. If you want to read about Calvin University vs. Hope College of Ferris State vs. Grand Valley State, this will not be the place.

Secondly, this list is proven to be 100 percent accurate by both mathematics and science. There is no room for discussion. There is no room for debate. This is the list.

Let’s go there.

100. North Carolina Central vs. North Carolina A&T

As soon as the determining rivalry of the Meac, the series took a hit when North Carolina A&T shot in front of the CAA in 2021. The two hates rivals now only play one match – the “Eagle Aggie Classic” – every season.

99. UCSB vs. Cal Poly

The “blue-green rivalry” is probably best known for men’s football, but the two Big West programs do not care about each other in basketball. The Gauchos have dominated in recent years and have won 15 of the last 16 games.

98. Army vs. Navy

The first of different rivalry on this list that is much more known for their fame in football, army and navy also have a heated rivalry between Patriot League on hardwood. The Midshipmen lead the all time, 85-56. The Black Knights, notorious, are one of the only four original Division-I programs that have never made the NCAA tournament.

97. Portland vs. Portland State

A lack of a rich basketball history will not keep heated rivalry on this list. The pilots and vikings despise, despite playing at different conferences, each other and have played a number of extremely competitive games in the last two decades. That is enough to justify a place in the top 100.

96. Uconn vs. St. John’s

A rivalry too fresh to be higher on this list, St. John’s vs. UConn Has a chance to be the biggest thing in the Big East in the decade that lies in front of us. Two of the highest profile head coaches in sport, Rick Pitino and Dan Hurley are too similar to these matchups to no longer give us memorable moments (such as those of Hurley Fiery interaction With “Red Blazer Guy”) in the coming years.

95. Southeast Missouri State vs. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

View a game at any time between Semo and Siue, and the contempt that the two programs have for each other are impossible to miss. 94. Illinois vs. Northwestern

The rivalry dates back to 1908, but cannot be arranged higher on this list because of how thoroughly the Illini have dominated. Although the two teams have divided their season series into each of the past three years, Illinois still has the count of all time with no fewer than 144 victories up to 46.

93. UAB vs. Memphis

Memphis dominated the “Battle for the Bones”, while the couple was both a member of Conference USA, and immediately chose again since UAB came to the American in 2023. Although the couple has played some classics over the years, the Tigers lead the all time of 40-12 of all time.

92. Houston vs. Texas Tech

Houston has had no trouble making controversial enemies since the member of BIG 12, and Texas Tech is at the top of that list. This has the potential to be one of the better rivalry of BIG 12 due to the coming years.

91. Noord -Florida vs. Jacksonville

The Crosstown rivals of the Atlantic Sun play a few games that are known as the “River City Rumble” every season. Jacksonville won the first 11 games in series history, but the Ospreys have returned to claim a current benefit of 23 to 22.

89. West Virginia vs. Marshall

This is the first of a handful of rivalry on this list that is currently defined by one side that refuses to play the other. This resulted in a spicy second round NCAA tournament game in 2018 that was won by the mountain climbers.

88. Byu vs. Gonzaga

Another trend on this list will someday be the rivalry that has cooled considerably thanks to the recurrence of the conference. The couple played a number of fantastic games, including three conference tournament titles matchups, during Byu’s Stint in the large west, but they have not squared since the Cougars shots for the Big 12.

87. Georgetown vs. Villanova

This rivalry is not entirely about the National Championship game from 1985 … but it is largely about the National Championship game 1985. Despite the struggles of Georgetown as a program in the past decade and VillanovaThe recent dominance in the series, the Hoyas still has a 51-46 all-time edge.

86. Murray State vs. Belmont

The two programs dominated the Ohio Valley conference during their co-existence in the competition and then left for the Missouri Valley in 2022. They have not yet found the same level of success in the MVC, but their rivalry has existed.

85. Charlotte vs. Davidson

The rivals in North Carolina play every year for ‘The Hornet’s Nest Trophy’. Charlotte leads the all time, 31-20, but after a victory last year, Davidson has now won nine of the last 12 matchups.

84. Stephen F. Austin vs. Sam Houston

Although the basketball series is not as cool as the football – “Battle of the Piney Woods” – it is even more loaded with history. The two programs have played several times a year since 1956, with Stephen F. Austin won 74 times and Sam Houston claims 61 victories.

83. Wofford vs. Furman

The rivalry “I-85” is one of the biggest highlights of every season in the Socon. It is especially remarkable from how successful the two programs have been, where the Terriers and Paladins are the only active members of the conference who won a competition in the NCAA tournament this century. Wofford has the ultimate bragging at the moment after closing Furman in the Socon Championship game last March.

82. Drexel vs. Penn

Although the couple is not played as often as you would do, “The Battle of 33rd Street” is still remarkable because he is the nearest geographical rivalry in Division-i Athletics, with the campuses of the schools that share a physical boundary and their home courts are only blocks apart. The rivalry received a boost in 2023 when Drexel was officially added to the famous Philadelphia “Big 5.”

81. Baylor vs. Houston

Although Houston has dominated the all-time series (40-16), the teams of Kelvin Sampson and Scott Drew have played a number of absolute bangers since the Cougars became members of the Big 12. The two games are automatic circles at the Big 12 Sports calendar at the moment.

80. Dayton vs. Saint Louis

On both sides there seem to be fans here who deny the existence of this rivalry (especially on the UD side), but it is quite clear one thing. The programs are two of the biggest brands in the Atlantic 10 and play every season for the “Arch Baron Cup”. Dayton is currently leading the all-time series, 43-30.

79. Oakland vs. Detroit-Mercy

The only two Division-i-Scholen in the Detroit region, the two Horizon League programs, come together twice a year in the “Metro Series”. While Oakland, winners of 12 of the last 13 games, have checked the series, the level of contempt that is present every time the two teams share the court, every game appointment still makes.

78. Miami (Ohio) vs. Ohio

Dating from 1908, the “Battle of the Bricks” is one of the oldest and most played rivalry in all basketball in the university. Miami leads the all time of a count of 121-96, but Ohio has won 10 of the last 12.

77. Canisius vs. Niagara

The oldest rivalry in the Maac, Canisius and Niagara met each other for the first time on hardwood in 1904. The two programs compete annually in all sports in what is mentioned as the “Battle of the Bridge”, a reference to the Grand Island Bridge, who have to cross both teams to reach the other campus. Which program has the most total victories at the end of the athletic year the ‘Canal Cup’ receives. Niagara leads the basket beam series for men of all time, 112-84.

76. Memphis vs. Tennessee

This is one of the strangest rivalry on the list. When it is burned, it is almost as clearly burned as every rivalry in college basketball. You could even say that the excessive heat is the cause of the two teams that play no more than they have over the years. This century the teams in 2008 had a number 1 vs. No. 2 -Showdown played, and then an absolutely ridiculous order of events in 2018 and 2019 that led to the two parties (or at least the Tennessee side) choosing not to continue the series. The hatred is still there. We only need the games again.

Come back quickly for the next episode of this series.
