“Test players in the T20 Team? Somb what” – Sanjay Manjrekar Tears in Selectors

Former Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar interviewed the selectors after India has mentioned their team for the Asia Cup 2025. The tournament starts on September 9, grouped with India next to Pakistan, Vae and Oman.

On August 19, Captain Suryakumar Yadav and main selector Ajit Agarkar announced the team of 15 members in Mumbai. The absence of Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj has already caused debates among fans and experts.

Manjrekar, posted in a video on August 23, expressed his disappointment about the selection process.

“I have noticed this trend over the years, not only recently. Selectors often choose a player based on their success in one size and then throw them into another. When I see a player chosen for the T20 side based on his test performance, I can’t help, but feel it doesn’t miss cricket logic.
