Tennessee announces a new clothing deal with Adidas, which includes ‘unprecedented’ zero program

Tennessee Athletics officially makes the switch back to Adidas as his clothing and equipment partner, The school announced on Wednesday. In addition to traditional clothing partnership, Adidas Tennessee -athletes will offer zero opportunities during the deal.

The volunteers were originally collaborated with Adidas from 1995-2014, at which point they made the leap to Nike. Just over ten years later, Tennessee and Adidas reunite a deal of 10 years, which comes into force in July 2026.

In his announcement, Tennessee said that Adidas would offer “unprecedented” zero chances for athletes in all 20 of the Varsity sports of the school. Adidas even immediately starts working on securing NIL deals with Tennessee athletes during the athletic season of 2025-26.

When the deal officially starts, the volunteers have access to the Adidas Nil Ambassador Network, which is available for all partners of the clothing company. That should be the key to Tennessee, because it is looking for legal ways to help athletes to increase zero income outside the new cap for sharing income.

The newly formed College Sports Commission (CSC) has expressed a strong opposition against Pay-For-Play Nul Deals.
