Remington Park has canceled the last nine races on the program on Saturday 30 August. The first race was only run for the wallet.
Remington Park was unable to perform a good racing presentation and had no possibility to export the signal to other locations. Technical problems with TV control room equipment forced the problem.
Because the field had already arrived in the saddle paddock for the first race and patiently waited more than 30 minutes, the decision was made to let that race run alone for the wallet. All Pari-Mutuel bets on the entire Remington Park were repaid.
Saltwater Taffy won the only race, a claims of $ 20,000 for mares and mare, non-winners of three career races, 3-year-olds and older, on five furlongs. The race was taken from the turf course due to excessive moisture of a week of rain in Oklahoma City.
Saltwater Taffy is owned by and trained by Austin Gustafson and was driven by Freddy Manrrique to victory. The 4-year-old Merrieveeulen is by turning candy from the War Front Mare Shore Bird. She was bred in Kentucky by WS Tarish.

Saltwater Taffy won for the circumstances because she was still a non-winner of two career races. It was her second career victory from 11 Starts. She grabbed $ 14,427 of the $ 24,000 wallet, with her total income at $ 86,394.
Remington Park Racing is planned to resume from Thursday to Saturday 4-6 September. The first race at night is central at 6 p.m.
