Taylor Swift has purchased the Master’s recordings of her first six albums and won control of all her music after a dispute with her former record label.
In a message on her website on Friday, Swift announced: “All the music I have ever made is now mine.”
The pop star said she bought her catalog with recordings – originally released via Big Machine Records – from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital.
She did not announce the amount.
The master recordings of the singer were sold in 2019 by the scooter Braun, CEO of Hybe America, and the pop star said that she did not have the opportunity to buy them at the time.

She has re -recorded four of the albums with the subtitle “Taylor’s Version”.
The re -assignment of Swift represent her efforts to control her own songs and how they are used, a trend that many musicians are encouraged to follow.
In April the Australian musician Pete Murray announced on social media that he released a new version of Better Days (Pete’s version), and that he was now an independent artist, instead of signing a label.
“Taylor did it and I thought,” Wow, that’s how you do it, “said Murray.
The purchase of Swift includes videos, concert films, art, photography and non -released materials, which are now under its control.
“I can’t thank you enough for reuniting me with this art I have devoted my life to, but never had so far,” said Swift fans in the post.
“The best things that have ever been mine … finally are actually.“

Fans have theoretized that the reputation (the version of Taylor) would be the next album that the singer would be Will Rerecord.
But according to the note that was shared on Friday, Swift said that she “had not even recorded a quarter of them”.
The singer announced that she had completely re -recorded her titllless debut album, “and I really love how it sound now”.
Swift wrote that both her titll -free debut and reputation (the version of Taylor), “can still have their moments to rise again when the time is right”.
Representatives of Swift and Hybe did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
