Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the tax burden for people will relieve further as the Indian economy gets more strength and claims that reforms in GST are a continuous process.
Modi focuses on the meeting after inaugurating the International Beurs (Upits) and said that recent structural reforms in GST will give new wings to the growth box of India and lead to greater savings for people.
He stated that the government has implemented reforms in the indirect tax regime by implementing GST in 2017, an important step to strengthen the economy, followed by further reforms in September this year.
“We are not going to stop here … While the economy further strengthens, the tax burden will continue to fall … The prime minister said with the blessings of countrymen,” the prime minister said.
He emphasized the government’s measures, including no income tax on persons who earn RS 12 Lakh annually and the GST 2.0 reforms, and stated that these initiatives will lead to more savings in the hands of the people.
Modi further said that the country is developing a lively defense sector, creating an ecosystem where every component bears the characteristic of ‘Made in India’.
The production of the AK-203 rifles will soon start in a factory founded in Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Russia, he said.
Modi emphasized that India should become self -reliant and called for increasing investments in research and innovation. Every product that can be made in India must be made in India, the prime minister said.
Modi invite global investments, Modi said, despite geopolitical disturbances and uncertainty, the growth of India remains attractive.
