Variants and color options
Tata Motors has revised the variant structure for the Punch 2026. While the outgoing model was offered in ten variants, the updated version reduces the range to six trims. The new Smart variant serves as an entry-level option, while the previous top-spec Creative+ variants have been discontinued. The Punch 2026 will be available in Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus S versions.
The micro SUV is offered in six exterior colors – Bengal Rouge, Caramel, Coorg Clouds, Cyantafic, Daytona Gray and Pristine White.
Expected prices
The outgoing Tata Punch was priced between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom). With additional features and the introduction of a new turbo petrol engine, the facelifted Punch is expected to be priced higher, with prices likely to start around Rs 6 lakh and go up to around Rs 9.50 lakh.
Design updates
The 2026 Tata Punch retains its familiar silhouette but sees notable changes at the front and rear. The front now features sleeker daytime running lights, a blacked-out grille and a redesigned bumper with striking black cladding and a functional air intake. New LED headlights with angular housings and a silver-colored skid plate enhance the rugged appearance of the SUV.
On the side, the design remains largely unchanged apart from new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, the tailgate and lower bumper have been revised and the Punch now gets connected LED taillights.
Interior and features
Inside, the cabin layout remains the same as the outgoing model, but receives several updates. The 2026 Punch gets a new freestanding 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated elements. The touch controls for the air conditioning system are located below the touchscreen. Additional features include a digital instrument cluster, a single sunroof, automatic climate control, premium sound system, cruise control and start/stop button. On the safety front, the updated Punch comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera and reverse parking sensors.
Engine options
The 2026 Tata Punch continues with the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 88 PS and 115 Nm of torque. The CNG version of the same engine produces 73 hp and 103 Nm of torque and is only available with a five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol variant can be paired with a manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox.
In addition, Tata Motors will introduce a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with the facelifted Punch. This unit produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
