PB Balaji will take the lead as CEO of JLR Automotive in the UK, effectively on the same day.
The Mumbai -based car Major’s commercial vehicle activities and the associated investments would be housed in one entity, while the business vehicles, including PV (passenger Vehicle), EV (Electric Vehicle), JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) and the associated investments, will be part of the other company.
In a legal submission, the company said that his board also approved the appointment of Girish Wagh at the Board of TML Commercial Vehicles LTD – the proposed listed entity in which the company vehicles of the automaker would be demolished – as a supplementary director, director and CEO with effect from 1 October 2025.
In addition, the company has appointed Sudha Krishnan as an extra, non-executive independent director of the company, for a five-year office from 1 October 2025. Tata Motors said that Hanne Sorensen will remain director in the board of Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC. Chandra has a bachelor’s degree in technology in Mechanical Engineering at Banaras Hindu University and a Masters in Business Administration at the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
