Studies conducted have shown that 300 liters per month represent the average fuel consumption, because it would cover approximately 170 km daily living -working traffic for cars in that category, said the Minister of Finance. “So if, for example, someone lives in Seremban and works in Kuala Lumpur or Putrajaya, it falls within the 170 km we estimate,” he said.
“For employees such as P-Hailing driver programs that trust their car, we will allow them to appeal a higher quota,” he said, adding that they should, however, have a valid license as a P-Hailing director and receive approval for the extra allocation.
Yesterday the second finance minister said that although Ron will be 95 gasoline on RM1.99 per liter for all Malaysian citizens with a Mykad and a valid driver’s license from 30 September, the current rule of foreign registered vehicles that Ron 95 are not allowed to pump, whether the drivers or passengers are Mykad Holders.
“Even if they have used Mykad, but their vehicles are registered in Singapore or Thailand, they still can’t use Ron 95, they can only use Ron97,” said Amir Hamzah, as reported by Malay Post. To this end, the Ministry of the Interior announced yesterday that holders of the Mykad with damaged chips can have them replaced for free in a national registration department (JPN) counter or office from today, September 23 to October 7 this year.
