Tai Tuivasa plans to make a comeback in 2026.

Tuivasa has not fought since August 2024, when he lost a split decision to Jairzinho Rozenstruik, which was his fifth defeat in a row. He has taken time off from MMA since the loss, but the fan favorite is eager to return to the UFC, as he reflected on the past year on Instagram.

“IVE DONE SOME MAD SHIT. #blessed Fankyou to everyone who has been part of my journey and supported and appreciates the love, of course not everyone is in these photos. But I was just scrolling with a smile, I did some crazy things and kicked with the best. ALWAYS BIG LOVE TO MY BIG USO MARK HUNT. HE DID SO MUCH FOR ALL THE AMERICAN ISLAND BOYS. FANKYOU. Not bad for a houso cutie.” Tuivasa wrote on Instagram.

Tai Tuivasa sends a message to his next opponent

“I have a lot more banging pics in the vault. Big thanks to fighting and the @ufc for some Fukin sick times. Blessed with a lot has given me a lot of opportunities. I’m so excited to see what the next half of my career looks like. I’m still young and still got a lot of pussy in me. I’ve had my little break. I’m ready for what next year will bring. Whoever I fight next, cum,” added Tuivasa to it.

As Tai Tuivasa writes, he plans to return to the UFC in 2026. There is no word on when or who he will fight, but the heavyweight contender is confident he will return to the win column.

Tuivasa is ranked 11th at heavyweight despite the losing skid. During the five-fight losing streak, he lost to Rozenstruik, Marcin Tybura, Alexander Volkov, Sergei Pavlovich and Ciryl Gane. Tuivasa has recorded notable victories over the likes of Derrick Lewis, Andrei Arlovski, Greg Hardy and Stefan Struve.
