The Three Lions tour of the Asian country starts on January 22 with three one-day internationals against Sri Lanka, all to be played in Colombo. The two sides will then compete against each other in a three-match T20I series from January 30, all to be played at the Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy. The teams will then prepare for their respective campaigns in the T20 World Cup.

England, placed in Group C, will start their T20 World Cup campaign against Nepal on February 8 in Mumbai. Three days later they go to the West Indies at the same location. Brook & Co. will next travel to Calcutta to play their last two league matches against Bangladesh (February 14) and Italy (February 16) at the Eden Gardens.
Brydon Carse will not play the 20-team event as top pacer Jofra Sagittarius will then return to the team. Other key names in the England squad include wicketkeeper-batsman Phil Salt, Tom Banton and star all-rounder Sam Curran. Meanwhile, Josh Tongue, also named in Sri Lanka’s touring squad, sees his name in the T20I side for the first time.
