The Minnesota Vikings usually find a way every summer to fire an exchange or two with general director Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
Many players can become a member of the Vikings and Trevon Diggs through the trade is clearly a theoretical option.
Last year Adofo-Mensah Cornerback Andrew Booth shed to the Dallas Cowboys for colleague CB Nahshon Wright. The deal did not come out much, but Adofo-Mensah still pulled the tractor.
Now, with transactions easier to finisle after 1 June, when Salary Cap -restrictions come loose, another – better – Cowboys Cornerback can be feasible: Trevon Diggs.
Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs theoretized as a trade goal
Bleacher report This week published an article about the top trading goals of the competition. As a first-in-species name-drop, Diggs made the cut.

Brent Sobleski explained“Both Cornerback Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys may be better off without each other. The previous sentence can come across as a counter -intuitive, considering how good Diggs has been when he is healthy. However, he has not been healthy in the past two seasons.”
“Diggs has passed back-to-back seasonal injuries with the same knee, which resulted in 13 total performances. He is only 26 years old and could jump back. But there is a feeling that the cowboys may not get the return that the organization can expect after signing the former first-team All-Pro (2021) to a five-year-old, $ 9″, $ 9 “, $ 9”, $ 9 “, $ 9”, $ 97 “, $ 97”, $ 9 “, $ 97”, $ 97 “, $ 97”, $ 97.
If Minnesota dropped the Diggs deal, he would be right next to Byron Murphy Jr. Start.
Sobleski added: “This season Dallas has created a depth on cornerback after dealing with the injuries of Diggs in the past two years. First the cowboys for former first round pick Kaiir Elam, then East Carolina’s Shavon Revel Jr. in the third round of this year.”
“Another franchise looking for cornerback aid should take a flier on Diggs, even with his recent injury history, because a healthy version is one of the greatest defensive game makers of the game. At the same time, a trade allows cowboys to sign the contract of Diggs to sign a free agent or the Mega-Campagne section Parsons will sign.
Sobleski suggested that Diggs could be obtained for a 6th round pick, if that can be believed.
BR -Compensation price for Diggs probably too low
A 6th round pick for Diggs, described by Sobleski, seems bizarre too low. Two years ago, Diggs has an extension of five years, $ 97 million in Dallas inked, and perhaps that mammoth contract is driven down its value, according to Sobleski.
Otherwise Diggs would probably pick up a 4th rounder, in the worst case per version.
Here is Diggs’ Pro Football Focus Resume so far:
2024: 56.6
2023: 80.7
2022: 67.6
2021: 58.5
2020: 62.7
The finances of cowboys can be tight
Why would the Cowboys exchange diggs? Simple – there may not be enough money to go around.
Quarterback Dak Prescott makes Megabucks. This also applies to Wideout Ceedee Lamb. Soon the Cowboys Linebacker Micah Parsons have to be an extension that looks like Quarterback money. The CB teammate of Diggs, Daron Bland, needs a new deal. And Dallas exchanged George Pickens just before the wide recipient, who is approaching an extension.
In short, Diggs can be the strange man and therefore on the trade block.
Moreover, Rookie Shavon Revel Jr. Taking its place on the depth card from East Carolina.
Possible Min CB group with Diggs
If the Purple team pulled out the Diggs trade, the CB room could look like this in 2025:
- Byron Murphy Jr.
- Trevon Diggs
- Isaiah Rodgers
- Mekhi Blackmon
- Jeff Okudah
- Dwight Mcglothern
- Ambry Thomas
And do you know what? That can just work.
The Stefon Diggs connection
A less important perspective, the brother of Diggs, Stefon, played for Minnesota from 2015 to 2019. The experience mainly yielded memorable dividends.
Another Diggs that venture to the Twin Cities would have the same name of the brand.
Other CB goals if it is not diggs
Suppose Adofo-Mensah is not ready to add cornerback talent this season outside the season. If Diggs is not for sale, these players can cross the radar of Minnesota:
- Jaire Alexander (Status unknown)
- Rasul Douglas (Free desk)
- Shaquill Griffin (Free desk)
- Mike Hilton (Free desk)
- Jack Jones (Free desk)
- Greg Newsome II (Handel)
- Jale’s Ramsey (Handel)
- Asante Samuel Jr. (Free Agent)
- Tariq Woolen (Handel)
Diggs becomes 27 in September – Smack DAB in the middle of his Prime.
