Winner of Group 2 and second place in the Prix de Diane (G1). To survive will be sold during the Scepter Sessions during the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, taking place from 1 to 3 December.
Offered by co-trainers Nicolas Clement and Frauke Hermans, the daughter of Churchill was a close second Sparkling abundance in last year’s Diane and then comfortably took the Prix de Malleret (G2) on her next start.
This season the four-year-old started with a second place behind the subsequent Prix Vermeille (G1) heroine Aventure in the Prix Corrida (G2) and went on to finish third Swirl And Kalpana in the Pretty Polly Stakes (G1) at the Curragh. The filly from the China Horse Club and Gerard Augustin-Normand also finished second in the Prix Jean Romanet (G1) this summer.
Survie is a daughter of the listed Le Havre mare Sotteville and comes from the family of 2023 Champion Stakes (G1) winner and Epsom Derby (G1) runner-up King of steel .
Clement said: “We are sending in a gem. She has been the star of the stable and has just had her head knocked in a French classic. She is a top class filly who has been very consistent throughout her career and was placed in Group 1 three times, including in the Pretty Polly and the Prix Jean Romanet.
“She is one of the very best fillies in Europe and whether she breeds or races, I am sure she will make someone happy. We will be sad to see her go.”
