Because I was in Bangalore for the last 5 days and met many entrepreneurs and affiliate marketers there. This trip to Bangalore was a serious blessing for me. I learned so much from meeting product launchers and learning so many things. I showed my product SchemaNinja to them, how this product will help them increase traffic and make money online.
I attended a very premium conference Bangalore SurgeConf and it was a delightful pleasure to attend this conference.
Attending Surgeconf was one of the best decisions I made and also got a number of clients from that event. Surgeconf was an over hyped show and yes the show wasn’t that cheap, the tickets were also highly priced. You only get a free lunch if you spend at least $1000 on tickets. So this show wasn’t for anyone looking for something really cheap. The show was successful as we had over 5,000 attendees and I think the networking was good. I have met some of my customers here and done good business.
Paddy Cosgrave had done a good job, but there were a few things I didn’t like about Surgeconf. This was Websummit’s first attempt to enter the Indian market as India is the fastest growing market in India.
Things I didn’t like:
- No good WiFi
- Food was expensive, we have to pay for lunch
- It was too hot in the meeting rooms because the air conditioning did not work as expected
Things I like:
- Good networking opportunities
- It was nice to meet young entrepreneurs
- Well organized than other Indian conferences
- Top brands like Flipkart, Radix, Sedo were present there
- The Surge app was great and keeps people informed about the main sessions of the event.
There were a lot of startups that showed up at SurgeConf, there were over 300 startups at SurgeConf, and there were huge booth setups around conference rooms. The attendees were excited to meet new startups and I saw great engagement among the people who stopped by the booths and were interested in new, innovative startup ideas. The startup that won the pitch was Arcatron Mobility. They won $100,000 in free credits from Google that can be used on all Google Cloud Platform products.
I was a media partner for Surgeconf and Surgeconf had arranged good business for media partners. They looked after the media visitors very well. Media were given exclusive preference for speaking sessions and were allowed to sit in front of the rows.
There were many top speakers at SurgeConf such as Sachin Bansal, Shradha Sharma and many others. I got a chance to meet Shradha Sharma Your story she was very nice and humble. She was in a panel discussion with Sachin Bansal of Flipkart. I really enjoyed the panel discussion and gained a lot of power knowledge.

Overall, my experience at SurgeConf was good and I am willing to be a part of Surgeconf 2017. Yes, they are coming back in 2017 too. So get ready for more fun. Paddy has promised that SurgeConf 2017 will be super fun and much better than 2016. So are you ready to be part of SurgeConf 2017. See you there friends.
