Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) today is pleased to announce the launch of College Tennis Weekend, an initiative aimed at engaging the college tennis community and improving programs through fan attendance, donations and community involvement.

College tennis programs hosting home matches this weekend will be held March 27-29 and are encouraged to gather as many community members, fans and alumni as possible to attend their match. For programs that do not host a home game or do not play away games, we encourage them to host community events to bring individuals to their courts to foster relationships for future fans and program donors.

“College Tennis Weekend is an opportunity to celebrate the people and programs that make college tennis thrive,” said ITA CEO David Mullins. “As we launch this inaugural event, we hope to build a tradition that grows every year – bringing communities together, increasing support for college tennis programs and strengthening the future of the sport for years to come.”

Several programs from across the country have already made it easy for fans to support their programs this weekend. Through the College Tennis Weekend webpage on the ITA website, the tennis community and college sports fans can see the events taking place by state, and will be able to find donation links and other links for each match on this page in the coming months.

With matches and events taking place across the country, we strongly encourage fans to be active on social media and highlight the moments they share with the college tennis programs in their communities. Programs will also be encouraged to share their promotions on social media through a number of campaigns and partnership opportunities with fans also encouraged to get involved.
