Suns’ reason for signing Euroleague MVP has become blindly obvious

The Phoenix Suns may have installed enormous roster changes this season, but there was a piece of company that they did before they exchanged Kevin Durant and bought out Bradley Beal that has since flown under the radar. With Jonathan Kuminga still a target, it makes sense that a player who was signed at Fenerbache in Turkey would not be spoken much.

Even someone who has won the Euroleague Final Four MVP subjessions, although he only has nine career competitions in the competition that will go all the way back to 2018. We are of course talking about Nigel Hayes-Davis, the 30-year-old Feel Good Story that went to Europe and worked hard to get another chance in the NBA.

The reason for adding Hayes-Davis is now clear.

When the signing was announced for the first time, it was thinking that the Suns would at least remain Beal, and that would again be a second apron team. That would signed transactions and signing players with something other than the minimum of the veteran, and that is why Hayes-Davis was the perfect solution.

Then the Suns decided to re -introduce Devin Booker – which is now about to waste a year of his Prime – and it became more difficult to see the reasoning behind him from Europe. But there are actually several important and smart reasons why Hayes-Davis will call the Valley at home next season.

The first is that he can literally swing on the field in the field. That is perhaps the biggest downgrade in competition history, but we know that Hayes-Davis was never intended to replace all time. Instead, the Suns in a rush became much younger – and on nights that these guys don’t have it or there are injuries to the selection – Hayes -Davis can fill in.

The organization also needs so many veterans as they can get that they have prepared three rookies, as well as adding a 23-year-old in Jalen Green from the Durant trade. Hayes-Davis will definitely become a dressing room that can frighten these players directly about experiences in Europe if they think they can just buy out now that they have reached the competition.

The Suns missed many things when Durant and Beal were in the city, and having a culture on the Roster was certainly one of them. The Front Office builds a young and hungry group around Booker who gives a defense, and Hayes-Davis looks like the perfect voice to guide the group for a long season.

His play must also be called because he can score in countless different ways. He will never have seen so much open space thanks to playing next to Booker and Green, and will work accordingly. On average 10 points per game may sound wild optimistic – his career is high in the NBA seven – But goals exist for a reason.

Finally and perhaps the most important thing is that Hayes-Davis will play every game like his career depends on it, because this is the case. This is the same reason that the Suns decided to do this with their third string point watch, to make competition and to have boys in practice and games that will play their hearts. Something else that was missing around these parts. Hayes-Davis, an astute signature.
