Sunderland has been given an approach to sign Ajax for Brian Brobbey in the midst of the expectation that Chelsea -Leenlee Marc Guiu will be recalled on Deadline Day.
Brobbey has emerged as an option to add to the attacking options of Sunderland. Nederlands International has to appear before Ajax this season, partly due to an ankle problem.
Fabrizio Romano reports that it is a ‘difficult deal’ that is so late in the window, but Sunderland is investigating the prospect of signing Brobbey.
It is amid the expectation that the black cats will lose Guiu. Chelsea assesses the viability to call Guiu out of his loan, after the hamstring injury of Liam Delap.
Guiu came in the window at Sunderland earlier, but only played 13 minutes in the first three Premier League matches of the club.
The Spanish teenager marked his full debut with a goal in Sunderland’s Carabao Cup exit to Huddersfield Town last week.
Chelsea is planning to recall the 19-year-old, to enable Nicolas Jackson to complete his loan movement to Bayern Munich. The West -Londers blocked the Jackson deal with the attacker in Germany to complete the move.
