The UFC constantly offers us discussion topics, but what are the strangest knockouts in the UFC history? We see knockouts as a result of punches, think of Ilia Topuria against Charles Oliveira and Kicks, think that Islam is eliminating Makhakevet Alexander Volkanovski, but we are not talking about those knockouts. We are talking about the strangest knockouts in the history of UFC, the one you have to play again and again to see how they happened. Those who let you sit there and think, “How did that happen?”
We look at the top five, strangest knockouts in the history of UFC, prepare to ask ‘wait, what?’!
Strangest Knock -Outs in UFC history
5. Niko Price vs James Vick
When Niko Price and James met Vick in 2019, neither of them was in particularly good form. Price came the game in a loss for Geoff Neal, while Vick was 0-3 with two knockout losses.
Vick was clearly hesitant on the feet, but it was the price that caught a kick and beat his opponent. It would fight against his feet, it would be Vick who had the Clinch attempt by Price and ended up in the dominant position. Vick would start to rain, vicious soil and pounds, heavy on price. He would get up and look at the feet of the price and go to side control. However, it turned out to be a big mistake.
Price would immediately eliminate a vicious heel attack Landen and Vick. The shots landed after that were only follow -up shots. From such a dominant position, Vick saw himself cold and from the UFC.

4. Yair Rodriguez vs Chan Sung Jung
OK, so there is nothing special about a knockout of an elbow. Although rare, they do happen. It is the way this knockout took place, making it so breathtaking.
On the way to losing his second straight fight, Yair Rodriguez invited his opponent in the night, Chan Sung Jung, to throw down one last time. The two men had set up an immediate classic, with only 600 strikes, it was time to take care of the Denver fans.
Chan Sung Jung was seconds from winning the game, making the finish more brutal. Zombie Hurry forward and in a flash rodriguez dived under a shot and in the last second of the 25-minute fight a no-look-back elbow landed and Jung immediately hit. A classic, a ‘blinker and you miss the moment and a place worthy in our strangest knockouts in the history of UFC!

3. Jorge Masvidal vs Ben Askren
Strange or shocking? You are the judge. That said, what a knockout this was. Type ‘strange’ in Google and you get a definition that contains the words ‘unusual or surprising’, and this knockout was certainly that.
Ben Askren was a dominant championship championship and entered the UFC with a ton of hype. In his debut, despite difficult moments, he finished Robbie Lawler in the first round. Then came GamebreadJorge Masvidal. The resident of Miami came from the back of a huge comeback victory on Darren Till and because of the Starpower of both men, this fight was just before the two title fights on the main map.
The two men had an entertaining structure and went to each each other with every opportunity; However, what happened, everyone shocked … apart from Team Masvidal.
Standing in what is now an ominous attitude, Masvidal started its run -up to Askren. He ran, full speed and landed the sweetest flying knee in the history of the UFC, and immediately hit Askren. At just 0:05 seconds in the fight it was all over. The fastest knockout in the UFC history and certainly one of the most surprising.
It is 5 years since Jorge Masvidal Ben Askren eliminated with that flying knee 💥

2. Jacob Malkoun vs Andre Petroski
Perhaps a forgotten knockout, which, however, does not remove how strange it was, so it is on #2 on our list for the strangest knockouts in the history of UFC. Buried on the Prelims, Jacob Malkoun against Andre Petroski took the middleweight.
The strange knockout came in the second round, and it was not so much the finish itself, but rather the knockdown in advance. Petroski looked to land a Takedown with one leg, for which Malkoun defended using the Limp-Bene technology. It seemed to be a standard incident that happens several times on a fighting evening card. What happened, however, Petroski saw reacting as if he was beaten.
He seemed to freeze, fall on the floor and fall up. Malkoun then landed a football kick on the body and two follow -up hammer fists to finish things.
Nobody knew what happened during the series; However, Petroski claims that the knockout was the result of the heel of Malkoun that hit his throat. Certainly a filthy one.

Yikes. 😬

1. Shane Burgos vs Edson Barboza
This is right on top of our list of the strangest knockouts in the UFC history. Prior to the fight, fans knew that this would offer violence. Both men love to stand and pop, and in particular Edson Barboza has some of the most viral knockouts in the history of UFC.

The third round saw two men who had applied a striking battle who entertained those present; However, it was the finish that people really confused. The Brazilian seemed to get a standard 1-2 combination. Shane Burgos seemed to wear it well because he kept staying in his fighting attitude, on his toes and still looked like he was in the fight. However, what happened after that, however, confused everyone.
Burgos stepped back and just seemed to maintain the distance, but did not stop. Burgos stumbled back in the fence from the center of the octhoek. The follow -up recordings of Barboza were not necessary; Burgos was outside. It was really the strangest knockout in the history of UFC and one that we will probably not see anymore.
Time @Edsonbarbosajr Shane Burgos completely close! 😳
