Strand Larsen is in talks with Crystal Palace but a move to Selhurst Park has stalled. Palace had informed Wolves of their willingness to pay an initial £45 million for the Norwegian forward, with a potential £5 million in add-ons, a fee that Wolves were prepared to accept.
Despite an agreement being reached in principle, the Eagles are now ready to walk away and pursue other goals. Palace have opened talks with Aston Villa over Evann Guessand, leaving Strand Larsen’s future in doubt.
Edwards addressed the situation during his pre-match press conference and said Strand Larsen would be available to him until a deal is done. Leeds United had a bid rejected for the attacker earlier this month.
“It’s quite clear: he has trained and will be part of the squad tomorrow. That’s all I can say at the moment.”
“There will be action (until the transfer deadline), we will be here and see what happens. I don’t know what will happen in other places, but we will be ready.”
