Alembic Pharmaceuticals has received the final approval of the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for the short new medicine application (Anda) Tretinoin cream USP, 0.025%. The approved Anda is therapeutic equivalent to the reference-making drug product (RLD), Retin-a cream, 0.025%, from Bausch Health US, LLC. Tretinoin cream is indicated for current application in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Consult the label for a detailed indication.
Aurobindo Pharma expects his Chinese facility to break even in the third quarter of the current financial year, according to his CFO Santhanam Subramanian. The drug maker, based in Hyderabad, started his activities in the facility in the last week of November 2024 and is now increasing production. “This facility with an initial capacity of 2 billion units Plus is as expected and will contribute to income in the coming quarters and is expected to even be on the EBITDA (profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) level by Q3 FY26,” Subramanian said in an analyst call. He noted that around $ 145 million was invested in the facility, which started production and invoicing in Q4 FY25 and Q1 FY26 respectively.
