Starlink Deal makes satellite dish 50% cheaper for new customers. Here is how it works

The Satellite-based internet service from Starlink has been a popular solution for people outside the service areas of traditional ISPs, and it is just a lot easier to try Starlink now has the lowest monthly prices ever and lowering the costs of the required equipment in two.

You can now buy the Starlink Standard kit for $ 175, further than its usual price tag of $ 349. In contrast to previous deals, it is available for new customers everywhere in the country. Most Starlink -Deals in the past are limited to areas with fewer users.

Is Starlink your best option for internet service?

Starlink has been a game changer for many people who live in the countryside, but I generally only recommend it as the last resort. That is partly due to the high price tag – the standard rate of $ 120 per month is still much higher than the average price of $ 78 in the US – and partly because of the performance.

According to a recent report from the speed test site also, Starlink users receive median speeds of 105 Mbps Down and 15Mbps higher. That is a lot of bandwidth for many households, but it is still not getting up with what defines the Federal Communications Commission as a broadband. The speeds you get from Starlink also depend on how many users there are in your region. A recent study by Penn State University showed that Starlink’s satellites can only handle 6.66 households per square miles before the service starts to fall under the minimum standard of the FCC. That does not mean that you do not have enough speed to do everything you need online – a zoom meeting requires, for example, about 4Mbps – but it gives you an idea of how Network Congration Starlink influences.
