Historical feats are something that thoroughbred enthusiasts love. These moments set new standards by which everyone who comes after (and sometimes even before) will be judged.

That makes what Spendthrift Farm accomplished last year all the more remarkable.

The stud farm near Lexington is home to North America’s leading sire, sire of the first crop, sire of the second crop and sire of the third crop for 2025. This is the first time since at least 1994, which coincides with when records of third crop bulls were regularly tracked, that a single farm has been the leading sire of the first, second and third crops. Adding the overall leading sire makes the distinction all the more impressive.

Once again standing above all stallions In mischief . For the seventh consecutive year, Into Mischief was the top sire based on offspring income with $31,863,395. He had the most winners (222), the most runners (450), the most black performers (67), the highest stakes winners (17) and the most Grade 1 winners (five). The 17 graded winners match his career best (2022 and 2024), and the five Grade 1 winners remain one step away from his best streak in 2023.

Into Mischief was also the top dirt bull of the year.

That doesn’t take anything away from the year that Not This Time had. Not This Time’s percentage of black type performers is the third highest percentage leading any given year since 2015. The three bulls with better percentages (Rifle runner 20.1% in 2022; War front 21.7% in 2016; and Dynaformer, 25% in 2015) all had significantly fewer runners and significantly fewer black-type runners.

Omaha Beach was the top sire of the second crop in 2024, so it was fitting that he would continue to lead his class in 2025. Led by its top earner A copy The Omaha Beach descendants earned nearly $13.7 million. The son of War Front led in almost every category: most runners (262), most winners (139), most black type winners (16), most black type performers (31), highest stakes winners (five), and was tied with Maximus Mischief as the leader in terms of number of grade 1 (two) winners.

Omaha Beach is worth $75,000 this year.

It was a similar tune for the best sophomore dad Vekoma . He was the top freshman dad a year ago and continued his upward trajectory.

Vekoma is worth $100,000 this year.

It was leading among the bulls that came to the track for the first time in 2025 Jaap . His top earner was Arctic beast ($265,503), who won his first three races before finishing second in the Remington Springboard Mile Stakes.

Yaupon, by Uncle Mo, was the best among all first-year sires with 82 runners, 30 winners, a record eight black-type winners for a North American first-year sire and 13 black-type performers.
