Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested in signing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace and have an ‘advantage’ in the race to sign the defender.
Guehi is in the last season of his contract in Crystal Palace and will be available on a free transfer next summer. In the summer, the international English international voted in a move to Liverpool and underwent a medical medical with the Reds, but the transfer collapsed after Palace had not signed a suitable replacement.
Liverpool remains interested in signing the 24-year-old as a free agent, but is confronted with competition from a number of European clubs.
Sky Sports reports that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all enthusiastic about Guehi, with European teams who can approach the defender in January with a pre-contract agreement. Premier League teams cannot do this and hand over a potential ‘benefit’ to Guehis Vrersers on the continent.
Guehi led Crystal Palace for the success of FA Cup last season, the very first big trophy of the club. He has established himself as a fixed value in the design of England and could resist a step in January, because he seems to be sitting for the world cup of the next summer.
